Aiden Pearce ⭐ Full Name: Aiden Pearce ⭐ Age: 39 (2013), 42 (2016) ⭐ Born: May 2, 1974 ⭐ Born In: Belfast, Northern Ireland ⭐ Nationality: Northern Irish, American ⭐ Residence: Chicago, Illinois (during Watch Dogs & St. Louis, Missouri (after Watch Dogs), San Francisco, California (during Watch Dogs 2), London, England (during Watch Dogs: Legion) ⭐ Alias(es): The Vigilante, The Fox, Joe Smith, Nicholas Crispin ⭐ Affiliation(s): Damien Brenks (formerly), Jordi Chin (formerly), Clara Lille (formerly), Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney, Tyrone Hayes (formerly) ⭐ Profession: Grey hat hacker, Vigilante, Fixer ⭐ Siblings: Nicole Pearce, Jackson Pearce (nephew), Lena Pearce (niece) ⭐ Status: Alive Aiden Pearce (also known as "The Vigilante" and "The Fox" by citizens and the media) is the protagonist of Watch Dogs. He is a highly skilled grey hat hacker who has access to the CTOS of Chicago using a highly specialized device, the Profiler. Because his actions led to a family tragedy, Aiden has taken to a personal crusade against the powers that be. His obsession with security, surveillance, and control borders on the paranoid and dangerous, extending to monitoring his own family (unbeknownst to them). Aiden grew up learning about computers. When he became an adult, he used the knowledge he had gathered growing up to commit clandestine scams. Pearce has a background as a criminal which has given him links to the underground of Chicago knowing the wrong people for all the wrong reasons. He grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland alongside his younger sister Nicole who greatly idolized him. His mother took the children to the United States in order to escape from their father who was implied to have been an abusive parent. As a child, he grew up in a rough neighborhood and frequently had to protect his family. Over time, his mother noticed how Aiden was becoming similar to his father and that her once sweet little boy had gone. As a young adult, he became a member of a criminal gang. He purchased lessons in combat, marksmanship and weapons all of which contributed towards his career as a thief. In 2005, Aiden was nearly arrested by a gym trainer who had noticed his injuries, unable to afford the risk, he swiftly eliminated him. After this event, Aiden began studying big cons, social engineering, psychology and intimidation tactics in order to improve his mental competence. Aiden later became acquainted with a fellow hacker, Damien Brenks, where the two taught each other specific hacking skills and the two proved to be a strong team. Damien Brenks: ⭐ Full Name: Damien Brenks ⭐ Age: 48 ⭐ Born: 1965 ⭐ Nationality: American ⭐ Residence: Chicago ⭐ Affiliation(s): Aiden Pearce (formerly), Charlotte Gardner, Robert Racine ⭐ Profession: Forensic Technologist, Hacker ⭐ Marital Status: Divorced ⭐ Children: Marcus (aged 15) ⭐ Status: Deceased ⭐ Died: 2013 ⭐ Cause of Death: Shot in the head by Aiden Pierce Aiden's former partner, Damien Brenks blackmails him into discovering the truth about the Merlaut Job. In the prologue, Aiden is at the Merlaut Hotel to tap into people's personal information so Damien could siphon money from them. Suddenly, they detected another hacker in the system. Though Aiden insisted that they cut the link, Damien refused so he could find out more, but his protégé refused to let his recklessness endanger them and was forced to terminate the link and make a run for it. However, the second hacker was able to discern their identities and a hit was put on them. Damien was violently attacked, leaving him in a week-long coma and crippled in his left leg, while a failed assassination attempt on Aiden resulted in the death of his niece Lena. Eleven months later, Damien began making subtle attempts to contact Aiden, involving paying off a stranger to make a prank call to his sister Nicole to set her on edge. This led to Aiden chasing down the caller and attempted to trace who hired him. Eventually, Aiden found Damien's digital breadcrumbs and a message to meet. Upon coming face-to-face, Damien was drunk and started rambling on how he had suffered as much Aiden had. He then revealed that he had traced the IP address of the second hacker and insisted on working with Aiden. However, Aiden refused, and insisted that he didn't need him. Aiden later called Damien to find out what he knew, but the latter failed to show up at their new rendezvous. He then revealed himself on three large TV screens, revealing he was in Nicole's house. Aiden raced there and confronted Damien, who revealed he had taken Nicole captive and demanded that Aiden do what he wants in exchange for her safety. Dermot "Lucky" Quinn: ⭐ Full Name: Dermot Quinn ⭐ Age: 75 ⭐ Born: 1938 ⭐ Born In: Galway, Ireland ⭐ Nationality: Irish ⭐ Residence: Chicago ⭐ Alias(es): Lucky Quinn, Mr. Quinn, Dermot Quinn, Quinn, LQ, Mob boss ⭐ Affiliation(s): Chicago South Club, Donovan Rushmore, Iraq ⭐ Profession: Businessman, Mob boss ⭐ Children: Niall Quinn ⭐ Status: Deceased ⭐ Died: 2013 ⭐ Cause of death: Heart attack caused by hacked pacemaker Dermot "Lucky" Quinn is a major character and the secondary antagonist of Watch Dogs. Quinn was the leader of the Chicago South Club and the one who ordered the hit on Aiden Pearce and Damien Brenks, and in doing so, set the game's events into motion. Quinn was born in Galway, Ireland in 1938. He said that he came from a poor family, and had five brothers and sisters. They left Galway for Chicago when he was young, and one of his sisters died on the way. Quinn later became a thug in the local mafia in Chicago. During this time, he was involved in a shootout with Al Capone's Chicago Outfit, but he luckily survived; he was then nicknamed Lucky. In an unknown year, Quinn became the boss of the Chicago South Club, which became even more powerful under his reign. Quinn made a deal with the Blume Corporation and helped finance the CTOS project in exchange for access to the network, giving Quinn even more power. Thanks to the Bellwether code from Blume, Quinn recorded a video of mayor Donovan Rushmore murdering Rose Washington, a former employee from Blume, which he used as a blackmail to control the mayor, and also arranged his re-election. Quinn also associated the Club with the Black Viceroys led by Delford "Iraq" Wade. Both lead to a major human trafficking ring. Quinn is also a billionaire and owns many businesses such as the prestigious Merlaut Hotel in Mad Mile, Chicago. In 2012, two hackers, Aiden Pearce, and Damien Brenks, hacked in the Merlaut Hotel to siphon the customers' bank accounts. Quinn, however, thought that they were looking for Rushmore's footage. Quinn hired Clara Lille to identify the duo and Iraq (who hired Maurice Vega) to carry out the hit. Lena Pearce, Aiden's niece, died in the attack. Aiden then swore that the one who ordered the hit would die, and would be the one to eventually kill him by hacking his pacemaker. Quinn is also described to be a philanthropist, though it is assumed that it is actually a cover-up for the Club's activities. The people of Chicago have a generally positive opinion about Quinn, which means they are unaware of Quinn's ties with the Club and the CTOS. Jordi Chin: ⭐ Full Name: Jordi Chin ⭐ Nationality: Asian-American ⭐ Residence: Chicago (formerly), San Francisco ⭐ Affiliation(s): Aiden Pearce (tentative friendship), Underground Car Contact, Blume (possibly), Marcus Holloway ⭐ Profession: Fixer ⭐ Status: Alive At the start of the game, Jordi had been hired by Aiden in order to find any leads to the murder of his niece and has successfully found the gunman responsible: Maurice Vega. In order for Aiden to escape the stadium basement and allow Jordi to take Maurice to a safe holding place, he deliberately kills several members of the Viceroy's gang and Maurice's guards in order to stage it as a gang shootout and not a kidnapping. He also calls the police in order to cover up their real reason for being there and that any potential evidence will be assumed to belong to the 'shoot out'. Jordi later contacts Aiden to deliver a thief to his client for him as a form of payment for all he has done for Aiden but does not tell him that the client was the head of the the Club Dermot "Lucky" Quinn and that Quinn would probably kill the hired thief afterwards, this leads Jordi to tell Aiden that he needs to relax and to focus on the money and not the morals. Jordi also contacts Aiden that a survivor from the stadium killings is being coerced into pointing out Aiden for killing the gang members, forcing Aiden to intimidate the person organizing the coercion and infiltrating a prison in order to silence the witness. In By Any Means Necessary, he gives sniper support to Aiden. He ends up getting taken down by Iraq's men, but manages to escape. When Aiden takes on Damien in the final showdown, they are interrupted by Jordi, who attempts to kill both Pearce and Damien, claiming that he has received a new contract (he might be hired by Blume but this is unconfirmed). Jordi instructs Aiden to kick his gun over. As Aiden attempts to hack the lighthouse lamp, Jordi demands him to hand the phone over but is ignored. Jordi is thrown off the lighthouse by Pearce, but later turns out to have survived the final showdown between him, Damien and Aiden as evident when he contacted Aiden after the meeting at the lighthouse, allowing Aiden to meet Maurice and decide his fate. Clara Lille: ⭐ Full Name: Clara Lille ⭐ Age: 28 ⭐ Born: 1985 ⭐ Nationality: Canadian-American ⭐ Residence: Chicago ⭐ Nicknames: BadBoy17 ⭐ Affiliation(s): DedSec, Chicago South Club (former), Aiden Pearce ⭐ Profession: Hacker, Tattoo Artist ⭐ Status: Deceased ⭐ Died: 2013 ⭐ Cause of Death: Assassinated Clara was born in 1985 somewhere in the Quebec province in Canada. When she grew up, she became a hacker and entered the group DedSec, with the alias BadBoy 17. She was a hacker to hire and was paid by contractors to identify targets (the harder it gets, the more money she gets). After Aiden Pearce and Damien Brenks, two hackers, failed their job in the Merlaut Hotel, she was hired by Dermot "Lucky" Quinn. She identified the two, which caused both to become Chicago South Club targets. During the attack, Lena Pearce was killed instead of her uncle Aiden. After Clara terminated her association with the Club, she was hired by Aiden in person to find Lena's killers. At this point, she never met him in person and used her alias and voice changing software. She saw Aiden first after the funeral, and seeing him saddened by Lena's death, she swore that she would heal Aiden from Lena's death by finding the killers, though she was trying to hide her involvement in the hit. Clara first appears in the first mission, Bottom of the Eighth, as BadBoy17. At this point in the game, Aiden/the player does not know about BadBoy's identity. During the mission, she unlocks the electrical grid so Aiden can use a blackout and escape the stadium. Raymond E. Kenney: ⭐ Full Name: Raymond Eugene Kenney ⭐ Age: 52 (2013), 55 (2016) ⭐ Born: July 18, 1961 ⭐ Nationality: American ⭐ Residence: Junkyard (Formerly), The Bunker (Formerly), The Silo (Formerly), San Francisco (Current) ⭐ Nicknames: T-Bone, T-Bone Grady, Ray, Ray Kenney, Mystery Man ⭐ Affiliation(s): Blume (formerly), CTOS (formerly), Rose Washington (formerly), Clara Lille (formerly), Aiden Pearce, Tobias Frewer, Sheila Billings, DedSec, Marcus Holloway, Sitara, Wrench, Josh, Horatio ⭐ Profession: Welder, Software engineer (former), Artist, sculptor, raconteur, Hacktivist ⭐ Status: Alive Raymond Kenney was born on July 18, 1961, and in his adult years became one of the software engineers hired to help make CTOS. Because of this, he has extensive knowledge of the system. Kenney was a whistleblower of the Blume Corporation, who installed an implant in his head which alerts the CTOS whenever he is nearby. Eventually, Kenney grew to regret his role in creating CTOS, as he began to realize both the extent of control it afforded corporations and governments over people, as well the risks it provided if it were to be tampered with or malfunction. Kenney had also become paranoid about Blume's activities, such as their action prediction software, again due to the level of control it provided them. He recorded several of his reflections on CTOS in audio logs, which he hid in the mainframe of his workplace's computer system. The logs were encrypted so that only a fellow engineer could decrypt and read them, which Angela Balik ended up doing upon being recruited by Blume. Eventually, Kenney was fired from Blume for his growing, and outspoken, objections to their activities. He was subsequently removed from his workplace while shouting warnings about Blume and CTOS, a scene witnessed by several of his co-workers. Kenney began to openly oppose Blume and the CTOS network in the wake of his firing, going on to cause the Northeast Blackout of 2003 by hacking CTOS in order to show the dangers of an entire infrastructure relying on one system. The blackout caused the accidental deaths of eleven people, causing Kenney to feel extreme guilt and leading him to go 'off the grid' in order to avoid detection by Blume and the authorities. Kenney adopted the alias of 'T-Bone' and began drinking heavily due to both his guilt over the deaths he caused as well as his bitterness in Blume firing him. The blackout, however, led to him becoming highly revered by those who protested against Blume, such as DedSec, and well known in the hacking community. Donovan Rushmore: ⭐ Full Name: Donovan Rushmore ⭐ Age: 63 ⭐ Born: 1950 ⭐ Nationality: American ⭐ Residence: Chicago ⭐ Affiliation(s): Chicago, Lucky Quinn ⭐ Profession: Mayor ⭐ Marital Status: Divorced ⭐ Status: Deceased ⭐ Died: 2013 ⭐ Cause of Death: Unknown The mayor is responsible for collaborating with businesses and the Blume Corporation to implement the ctOS in Chicago, beginning in 2011. It was said that he was corrupt and was forced to agree with the implementation, which was supported by the Chicago South Club boss Lucky Quinn. As Rushmore was beginning to be a "man of the people", Quinn asked Blume to use the Bellwether Code on him. The Blume Corporation arranged the divorce of Rushmore and his wife and a meeting between him and Rose Washington. During the meeting, Rushmore murdered her, but was recorded, giving Quinn blackmail on him. Threatening to reveal the video to the public, Rushmore then became Quinn's "puppet", allowing the Chicago South Club to control the whole city of Chicago. When Aiden Pearce and Damien Brenks tried to hack in the Merlaut Hotel, Quinn believed that they were trying to get the video. Quinn hired Clara Lille to track the duo and Maurice Vega to carry on the hit placed on them, setting the events of the game in motion. Eleven months later, Rushmore gave a speech at Quinn's charity benefit at the Merlaut, giving praise to Quinn. When he was finished, he took to the sidelines with Quinn, demanding the blackmail video, but was refused and ordered to leave. Subsequently, when Aiden faces a dying Quinn, he reveals the video to him, saying that the death of Lena was "a mistake". After killing him, Aiden downloaded the video and sent it to Kenney, which released it to the public. Rushmore declined to comment while city hall claimed that the footage was faked by Dedsec. After completing the game, WKZ News reveal that Rushmore was found dead, but it is currently unknown if he committed suicide or was executed. His partisans claimed that the video was a fake video in order to discredit the mayor. Charlotte Gardner was then chosen as an interim mayor, following Rushmore's death. Delford "Iraq" Wade: ⭐ Full Name: Delford Wade ⭐ Age: 26 ⭐ Born: 1987 ⭐ Nationality: American ⭐ Residence: Rossi-Fremont ⭐ Affiliation(s): U.S. Army (formerly), Black Viceroys, Lucky Quinn ⭐ Profession: Gang leader ⭐ Rank: Enforcer ⭐ Status: Deceased ⭐ Died: 2013 ⭐ Cause of Death: Gunned down by Aiden Pearce Delford Wade was born in 1987 and was raised along with his cousin Tyrone Hayes. Delford joined the United States Army and fought in the Iraq War. After being honorably discharged, Delford became the leader of the Black Viceroys, who nicknamed him "Iraq" because of his military experience. In a relatively short amount of time, Iraq turned the small gang into a powerful crime syndicate. The Viceroys, led by Iraq, seized control of the abandoned Rossi-Fremont public housing project, and made the abandoned apartment buildings into an almost impenetrable fortress, loaded with CTOS equipment and card readers. Iraq dealt with the Chicago South Club leader Dermot "Lucky" Quinn, to associate both gangs. He split his gang into two groups: the first one was tasked with running small deals in Chicago, and was mainly young gangsters, and a second group that he considers his 'family,' and operates from Rossi-Fremont. The second group received military training and gear from their leader. Iraq also used servers from Rossi-Fremont to hack into the data of many people in order to obtain blackmail that he would use to become the new "king" of Chicago. Iraq got data from almost everybody, including the Blume Corporation, Lucky Quinn, and the Police. Iraq planned to release all of it at the right time but was lacking only one piece of his scheme: the footage of Mayor Rushmore murdering Rose Washington. JB "Defalt" Markowicz: ⭐ Full Name: JB Markowicz ⭐ Nationality: American ⭐ Residence: Chicago ⭐ Alias(es): Defalt, Ratboy, The rat, Defect, ~~(8:> ⭐ Affiliation(s): Dot ConneXion, Blume Corporation (Bad Blood) ⭐ Profession: Black hat hacker, Professional Hacker, DJ ⭐ Status: Deceased ⭐ Died: 2014 ⭐ Cause of Death: Gassed to death by T-Bone Defalt is a disc jockey who works in Dot ConneXion at Ambrose Theatre, and a blackhat hacker for hire who works against DedSec. He is a minor antagonist in Watch Dogs and also the main antagonist of Watch Dogs: Bad Blood. Defalt's background is mostly left unclear. His name implies he is from Eastern Europe, likely Poland. He later started working for Dot ConneXion as a DJ, and became a hacker for hire, apparently notorious (as he was known by both Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney and Dermot "Lucky" Quinn), and a "brilliant" hacker, in T-Bone's words. Watch Dogs: Bad Blood further reveals his background. He had a brother under suicide watch in a mental hospital watch prior to the Northeast Blackout of 2003. The statewide blackout caused by T-Bone gave him the chance to escape and was found later after he hanged himself. Ever since that event, Markowicz hated T-Bone and sought revenge. He then started to work as an informant for Blume, in order to find him. It is also known that he attempted to enter the DedSec group, though he was refused as his job was against DedSec's policy of its members being anonymous; he does not operate under his own name, but he had a notorious created identity as "Defalt" that he refused to give up when the group demanded it. He had a grudge against DedSec ever since.
